Preston will be following the yellow brick road, clicking their heels together and entering the magical Land of Oz this summer.  Following the success of last years promenade show ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ Guild Hall youth and professional performers once again embark on transforming Avenham and Miller Park into a different land.

The classic tale of Dorothy and Toto being swept up in a cyclone and awaking in an enchanted world where she stumbles across the well know, brainless scarecrow, heatless tin man and the cowardly lion will be played out against the stunning backdrop of Avenham and Miller Park.But be ware of the Wicked Witch of the West and her band of flying monkeys who try and entrap our travelling friends and keep her evil power alive and not to forget the mysterious and enchanting Wizard of OZ, who is not quite all he seems. The show has an exciting mix of older youth theatre members who have experienced performing in a variety of our past shows, new members who are performing for the first time all working alongside professional directors and performers.

Shout is now into it's 9th month, doing very well and every day growing at a rapid rate. Here at the Shout HQ, we thought it was about time we gave lonely Shout Preston some siblings. So, we are pleased and proud to announce the arrival of Shout Blackpool and Shout Fylde! Both born on July 1st 2009 at approximately 6pm weighing in at stress levels of 10 stones for Shout's Ian who has been working hard on pushing these two new sites out!

Two of the Tweenies will be out and about to meet their fans this week, in a variety of venues in the area.  Fizz and Jake are taking time off from their current live theatre tour, which comes to the Guild Hall on 21 and 22 July. Fizz is cute and creative, she loves dancing and singing and all things pink.  Jake is the youngest of the Tweenies, but that doesn’t stop him joining in; he loves crawling over and under everything!  Both have promised to be on their best behaviour when they meet their young fans.
