The Longridge Restaurant![]()
Paul Heathcote’s flagship restaurant re-opened with a complete refurbishment earlier this year. The award winning establishment sees a new cookery school and private dining room created by designer, Karen Brierley, who has worked on previous Heathcotes’ projects. The restaurant catches renaissance influences with Julian McDonald wallpaper and cloths designed by Panaz. “Creams, greys and blacks are prominent but I have attempted to capture Paul’s up-to-the-moment feel whilst working with a 19th century cottage” Brierley said. A new bar and lounge area has been created along with a very special private dining room which seats 14 and has the facility for a Heathcotes’ chef to prepare dinner in front of you, if requested. The cookery school which as been running for 15 years has over 20 dates throughout the year from simple three course dinners to specialised game and fish days. The kitchen features the very latest Kuppersbusch equipment specially selected for home-cooking. The courses will incorporate combi-microwaving, steaming as well as creating sauces and desserts that feature in the Longridge Restaurant. Michael Noonan has recently been installed as Head Chef and his impressive CV includes a 5 year stint within the Heathcotes group plying his trade mainly at Simply Heathcotes Wrightington before taking the head chef role at Heathcotes flagship restaurant. Paul said “After 16 years I felt it was right to move the restaurant up a notch or two. I still have some fairly big ambitions for the baby of the group – who knows what it can achieve”.
