Go Wild This Summer with The Lancashire Wildlife Trust
This August, The Lancashire Wildlife Trust will once again be working hard to inspire children from across our region about the wonders of the natural world, at their summer kids club.
The Wild Side is a unique school holiday club specially designed and delivered for 8-14 year olds by an expert team of environmental educators.
Budding explorers will have the chance to discover woodlands and learn valuable bushcraft and survival skills. Previous activities have included den making, firelighting, navigation, green woodcraft, foraging and cooking.
On top of all this, there'll be the chance to play games, meet new friends, and generally have a great time, to make the most of the summer while it’s still here!Children aged 8-14 can take a walk on The Wild Side on Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all throughout August at Penwortham Environment Education Centre and on Fridays at Mere Sands Wood Nature Reserve, Rufford.
The sessions are great value for money, costing just £10 for 10am-3pm or £12 for 9.30am - 4pm.
Those parents wanting to spend the day as a family can enjoy our Wild Child sessions at Penwortham Environment Centre every Monday and Friday in August from 10am-12 or 2pm-4pm for just £2 per person.
